MLB News: Draft Pool Revealed
Sunday, December 19th, 2021
The speculation as to who will be the number one pick can now officially begin. Earlier today, Major League Baseball published its list of players eligible for the annual rookie draft. For the next thirty days, scouts will be busy studying this untested talent in order to come up with a list of names to recommend that their clubs pursue. But just who those picks will be won't be known until the draft is conducted next month.

A section on the potential draftees has been added to the Transaction section of the BNN site, which will be available for 170 days before the draft takes place.

The top players available (in no particular order) seem to be:
1. Salvatore Vasquez, 20 year-old RHP out of college.
2. Brian Walker, 20 year-old RHP out of college.
3. Gary Powell, 22 year-old RHP out of college.
4. Trace Dugger, 22 year-old RHP out of college.
5. John Wade, 19 year-old RHP out of high-school.
6. Keith Talley, 18 year-old RHP out of high-school.
7. Lukash Sabko, 21 year-old LHP out of college.
8. Pat Porter, 21 year-old RHP out of college.
9. Jaime Newcomb, 18 year-old RHP out of high-school.
10. Derek Marcum, 21 year-old RHP out of college.

You can find the draft pool in the league transactions screen (league menu).
MLB News: Winter Meetings End
Sunday, December 19th, 2021
As attendees make plans to get out of town, a few waning hours remain for deal-making. General managers might pick up the phone and call that agent who has been on the backburner for the past few days. They might still explore trade options with another club to see what's out there. They still have until the end of today, when Winter Meetings wrap up for the year and they could just end up with a surprising catch to take back home to their fans.
